Dr. Arturo (Masao) Fajardo Yamamoto
I am a husband, father, and oceanographer graduated from the Autonomous University of Baja California. Throughout my academic development, I have had the opportunity to work on various research projects focused on population dynamics, fisheries ecology, and biological oceanography.

I am particularly interested in understanding the processes occurring in marine environments and those involving anthropogenic interactions. I believe that fieldwork provides an essential empirical foundation for comprehending these processes.

Currently, I am developing a postdoctoral project that aims to characterize the development of sport fishing in Ensenada, Baja California. We will assess biological-fisheries aspects, socio-economic factors, and the dynamics of sport fishing from California in Mexican waters and its interaction with local fisheries.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, who often fall victim to my poor enthusiasm for food and cooking. When time allows, I also enjoy practicing sports and watching movies.
