Pamela Gayoso Grijalva
My name is Pamela Gayoso. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Ecosystem Management of Arid Zones at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. I have always felt a deep passion for the environment and nature conservation, which led me to focus my studies on this field. During the final phase of my undergraduate program, I focused on studying socio-ecological systems, specifically the socio-ecological system of tourism in Bahía de Los Ángeles. Under the guidance of Dr. Luis Malpica, I am currently developing my master’s thesis project, which aims to estimate the carrying capacity of tourism in Bahía de Los Ángeles. This includes analyzing the main tourism activities and their impacts on the ecosystem and the local community. Through my thesis project, I hope to contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between tourism and the environment and to propose strategies for sustainable tourism in Bahía de Los Ángeles and similar regions.
